5 minutes of fame: vocal debut

I was asked to do some readings for a client project - some kind of Paris Hilton type lines, the creative guys needed an American accent. I thought sure why not - cant be hard to say "thats hot"...it is much harder than it sounded. I had to go into a voice booth and read lines, laugh on que and be sexy / "breathy"... lines like "that smell makes me horny", "ooohh baby", "bom chica wa wa", giggle giggle, etc etc. Check out the online game that my voice was used in below, yes it is embarrassing but still pretty cool. During our Friday all-hands it was demonstrated in front of the company...

OK and get this - the whole Lance Bass experience during Mardi Gras...well our pic was post on the front page of Pinks the New Blog (only the 2nd largest celeb gossip site...massive) - $$$$ so000 money:

Casino, Surf, Girls Day and Karaoke....all in one post

Casino: First night at Star City the Casino in Sydney. Vegas type feel... we went to say Good bye to Jeff. His time flew during his 3 weeks stay (he worked too much)!

Surf: Another Media Team outing - we are welcoming our new team and saying goodbye to summer. We did a surf lesson in manly followed by dinner at the Wharf. Perfect waves and good fun. We have a full team now!! Each of the AD/Planner/Account Managers/Traffickers/Search Manager (aka Kai, Jen, Jodie and Me) now have a dedicated assistant! Bring on decent hours, and a life - whoo hoo. We are loving the new team!

Kai, Jen and I continuing the relaxing day for a little kicking back at the London...

Girls Day: Had an amazing relaxing weekend. I work up early headed to an outdoor pool for a swim by the Botanical gardens (still some summer blasts of nice weather), caught up with mom and walked through an art museum. Met some girls in the Cross for a yummy healthy organic champagne brunch...went to kristens for some food, tarot card readings, gossip mags discussions and sex in the city!!

I did not necessarily believe in the whole tarot card thing but it was an amazing experience. Thanks Esther!! I just met her so she didnt know anything about me. She called out my past, present and future - nail on the head! Specific things that really settled stuff, I can live lighter and freer (without being specific: embracing change, letting go, accepting confidence, not questioning and "the one" will be found but it is a necessary future experience as the present is still personally defining...).

Kristen E and I continued the night...meet up with her young rugby boys (totally remembered why I dont like younger boys...the whole rough and loud, throwing things immature stuff is kind of lame...and as my new assistant put it, in her French accent, she no like young boys they are not sexual experienced - love the blunt, straight forward reason...works for me).

The night continued and continued...Kristen rallied hard but was fast asleep at the house party we ended up at. That we had a close encounter with a MASSIVE cockroach (ill get the pics to prove it)

Bowling/Karaoke Night: The only other time ive sang in public was at my bestest friend Jackies 24th (or around) bday in a ghetto bar in between T town and seattle...no one there and the host told us we sounded like chipmunks...not the most encouraging comment. Last week we did a last minute bowling night with NineMSN (I got the highest points on my team on the last game - like 115 or something...you know I looove winning) then we headed into a private karaoke room. I will not be posting the videos as it is equally embarrassing for all us tipsy peeps involved. Good Times!!

This was the night before my 4 day holiday in Fraser Island, I love these nights, work is done and all that lays ahead is fun times...

First Race Day (Jeff Visits Oz) and Red Bull event

A day at the races! Grab your dresses, fascinators, mojo, champagne and tips...

I had a little bit a luck and won on the horse called All American!

The hats and crazy outfits are a sight to be seen...

Kai looking very aussie - metro with the big shades and un buttoned shirt...work it!

Took Jeff to the scenic Opera Bar.

Went to the Australian for some good pizza, one of which was Kangaroo. It was Earth Hour and after a day of drinking I was sure to let the surrounding people know the importance of this hour :) below is a skyscraper that went dark for this hour. Very cool when the city goes dark, it is an important topic brought to light (no pun intended).

Red Bull had their first Flugtag in Australia. Great spot, lots of crazy inventions and teams...lots of people showed up to watch a poor showing of talent. Not many flew at all, most just nose dived into the water. Good show.
My Space people one was cute (see below). the second pic is a team that reinforced that pigs dont fly!

Nude Beach gone wrong - Kayaking Mosman Spit

Beautiful Sunday afternoon - group of expats headed out for a day of kayaking..

Kai below paddling thru some intense rapids... no it really did get a bit wavey in the sea as we were close to the mouth of the harbor with ferrys and barges going by.

I hung by the pelicans for a while, very cool birds
We stopped for a break on a secluded beautiful beach...not until we got close did I notice something a bit strange... nude people, mostly men that shouldnt be naked.

As I mentioned the waves were quite big, rupes and josh were approaching the beach, got a big wave, flipped...and sure enough a good naked samaritan ran to their rescue. All the wrong things swingin...

Not until later Sean (Kristens BF from Oz) mentioned that he was not putting his arms in the water do to the possibility of sharks...um way not to inform the expats..i had my hands in the water all day. We did swim and snorkel at the beach too. Scary but really unlikely...if it happens it was meant to be.

Mexican Dinner - Girls Night

Nothing like mexican for a little taste of home... good food, good wine, good conversation. we ended up at the Cross...imagine that but pretty tame overall.

10,9,8,7...Happy New Year!! Rupes place is awesome, we had some fun on the balcony with some people below...we got on the kick of the new years count down, it is so much fun to stir up that 10 second anticipation, why not do it all year? I am sure everyone just thought we were a bit crazy.
