Camping Down South - Beach Side

We road tripped it south for a beachside camping excursion. We set up shop, got in our halloween costumes, walked a few miles to Lawn Bowls...had a great time. Then BBQ and flip cup. Caity and I walked along the beach and found an interesting crew of peeps playing harmonica, singing and guitar action.

We chilled arond the fire! good times!

Next day, beach time to soak up the hang over. THEN whales were right in front of us playing. Amazing! after lunch in the lil town we headed back to Sydney.

Of course a stop at the Scarborough Hotel for a drink was a must...

Kim Comes Down Under - Hamilton Island WhitSundays!!

Kim came from seattle to visit me and see australia! I think she ended up having the perf trip - good mix of sydney time, beach, great barrier reef in the whitsunday, blue mountain hike. she met all my friends, was so great to see her!

She tried roo pizza, bar hopped in the rocked and danced the night away. see pics below - a few classics...like the reunion shots lended for a great bitter-face shot :)


We had an amazing view from our holiday. Cute little island, where we spend 4 days. swim up bar, beach side, sunset canoe paddle with champers and a hot guide! we did an all day great trip - several beach stops, snorkels, and hikes. we chilled on the whitest sand beaches, exfoliated with sand, napped, swam, took in paradise!

a little "town" area kept us busy at night. we met some "locals" rode on a golf cart - kim got to drive on the other side. She also met her first aussie boy and had a nice beach star gaze with him.

We had plenty of cheese, wine, fruity drinks, live music, sun and fun! took several really long hikes around, navigated thru un charted waters, saw a scary sting ray, got lost but got some amazing pics - see below.
